A journey into the 16th century, in the country of the famous artist Abel Grimmer.
Presentation
There is this wonderful collection of 12 paintings of a flemmisch artist Abel Grimmer in the chapel of Montfaucon en Velay.
They have been classified and listed by the "historical monuments in 1914
This collection has two themes:
A religious theme: relating to the life of Jesus and to various parables
A profane theme: representing the daily life in the 16. century: months and seasons

Principal information
The collection is in the chapel Notre Dame. The entrance to the collection is free.
But if you wish to have a visit with the official guide, there are fixed days:
Every tuesday at 11 o'clock and every sunday at 3 pm. The price is : 5.50€ per person (4€50 with touristcard(carte d'hôtes), Special price for groupes: 25 personnes : 4€50 per person.
For every other reservation other than the fixed hours : 90€ for a groupe , Possibility whole year, please reserve at our office
